New Asbestos Removal

Workers Win $60.3 million

S. African workers awarded $60.3 million in damages due to asbestos exposure - largest in country's history.

This is the first time mine workers from a black origin have won compensation from a S. African based company.

For 25 years, a trust fund will reward families of the 1600 workers a total of $60.3 million.

'Justice'

Gencor is one of a few companies around the globe that are facing such lawsuits. These claims that are worth millions are being filed by every one for the negligence of companies in the past who have known about the risks and hazards of asbestos.

Such large settlements are being paid out to send a message to large companies in that they have to take responsibilities for their actions.
